Planet Events, a new way to have fun
You’ve probably heard of My Boat Party, My Yatch Party recently and My House Party, events that give way to new concepts in the city of Douala. These events organized by Planet Events agency want moose with a touch of luxury to the delight of those who want to have fun otherwise. I tell you more below…
Planet Events is an event agency founded last year and based in Douala. Led by a young Cameroonian promoter, the agency has an ambitious project to organize exclusive events in particular locations, to hijack the places of their primary function to organize atypical events. It also aims to surprise an audience accustomed to the same culture and leisure activities to offer them a new alternative.
Planet Events events invite the public to live a unique experience in a temporary space. Therefore, the event is aimed at urban, dynamic, curious, aged 25-45 years who yearn for new experiences.
If the first event My Boat Party, could not take place in spite of the means deployed, My My Yatch Party and House Party are doing rather well with several editions already recorded in the assets of Planet Events.
My House Party, meanwhile, is an afterwork organized every 2 to 3 months. These are private parties organized in villas. The last edition was held last … in a villa Bonapriso.
My Yatch Party usually held on Sundays. It’s about boat trips on the waters of the Wouri for moments of relaxation and fun.
My opinion…
Personally, I like the original touch that brings the events in the city of Douala, it changes a little bit of how young people over 25 are used to have fun. By cons, those events are not addressed at all. I had the impression that the event agency is a rather wealthy or rich clientele, or yuppies who want to have private events where to meet and relax them. On the sidelines of this, My Yatch Party is a great alternative to propose as activity especially expatriates and tourists. And My House Party, should also interest businesses wishing to organize private events for their staff with the aim to transport them in the most unusual frames to more familiar scenes in strengthening the spirit of the undertaking concerned.
