Founded in 2011, ActivSpaces is one of the major players in the Technological Ecosystem in Cameroon.
Vision and Objectives
The African Center of Technology, Innovation and Ventures Spaces (ActivSpaces) is an association whose goal is to support project promoters in the field of Technology. It is an incubator that works for the development of an environment favorable to the promotion of ICT and Entrepreneurship in Africa, and particularly in Cameroon. As a result, the organization provides young entrepreneurs with a set of tools to help them launch their startups.
The startups incubated at ActivSpaces benefit from a free workspace with high-speed Internet access, a meeting room, office secretarial equipment to ensure their working conditions and the evolution of their projects.
To date, ActivSpaces has around 20 incubated start-ups and just over 30 community groups in the Douala and Buea towns where it operates. If startups are required to follow the Mentoring program set up by ActivSpaces to ensure their follow-up, communities are responsible for making the ecosystem dynamic through the organization of events, training and encounters in the field Of Technology.
Programs and support
To further its mission, Cameroon’s first incubator launches its BootCamp, an acceleration program that allows incubated startups to leave the incubation stage once the project has become viable and get access to Investors funds provided to selected startups during the Pitch Day.
And if you have heard of William Elong, this young Cameroonian who recently raised nearly 124 million FCFA, know that William and his company Will & Brothers were incubated at ActivSpaces.
ActivSpaces offers co-working services to small businesses. The association also provides major companies and organizations with services in terms of support and supervision of initiatives on digital entrepreneurship in Cameroon.
