PITCH DAY 237: Start-ups from ActivSpaces incubator facing investors.

ACTIVSPACES AND THE CAMEROON ANGEL NETWORK LAUNCH THE “PITCH DAY 237”, 2nd Edition 

As part of the launch of its annual program in support of young entrepreneurs, African Center for Technology, Innovation and Ventures Spaces (ActivSpaces) in association with the Cameroon Angel Network (CAN) is organizing the “PITCH DAY 237”. This event dedicated to young project leaders in the field of technology will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016, in the new office of ActivSpaces in Douala.

Aiming to support the Cameroonian startups, helping them to grow and transform their ideas into real business, the PITCH DAY 237 is a contest that gives the opportunity to the shortlisted candidates to defend their projects to investors and potential partners. Winners will receive a follow-up and startup acceleration program called “ACTIVATION BOOTCAMP”. This program is estimated at FCFA 4.6 million, including 1 million FCFA given in cash.

For this second edition, the event will not only be limited to the presentation of projects to investors as it has been the case previously. It will also be the occasion for the winners of the last edition, to show to the public their applications or services. The day’s program will be as follows:

• Activation BootCamp Contest
• Winners Announcement
• Demo for start-ups winners of last years edition
• Networking

The event will take place on Saturday, July 23th, 2016, at ActivSpaces Douala. Opposite the Douala Stock Exchange in Akwa. Access to the event is by reservation only. The public can also follow the event on social networks through the hashtag #PitchDay237.

ActivSpaces is a Tech incubator that aims to create and develop an ecosystem conducive to technology development in Cameroon. As a non-profit organization, ActivSpaces assists startups in the field of Technology, offering a free work space, an internet connection and a mentoring program.
