I have not yet found the strength to tell you the 2nd part of my stay in Accra but I already feel the urge to make you discover the 2 or 3 places that I had the opportunity to visit in my steps In Accra. Considering that I was there for a business trip, it was at the Afrilab Annual Gathering, I had days full of 7 am to 7 pm and no time to walk. So it was only in the evening that I could only discover the city. So it was only in the evening that I could only discover the city and that on the eve of my return to Cameroon, I discovered the Rockstone’s Office in Accra.
In this article, I take you to the Rockstone’s Office, a snack bar and dancing bar located in Cantonments behind the Ghana Police Headquarters and the Japanese embassy, in Accra. I was there on Thursday evening, with the organizing committee of the Afrilab Annual Gathering and a few foreigners like us, invited for the event. The organizers had planned everything. The bus picked us up at the hotel at 10pm to take us to the Rockstone’s Office. This is a beautiful space where the courtyard gives way to tents for those who prefer to be in privacy, and a two-storey building with an indoor snack bar on the ground floor (called Django Bar) and upstairs a bar surrounded by a few salons for those who prefer to be on the terrace.
The evening went very well. We found ourselves between Ghanaian, Nigerian, Kenyan, Tanzanian and Cameroonian, in a beautiful African atmosphere. So I discovered that the Nigerians were big and big revelers and that the Kenyans were very great dancers, lol! We talked, drunk, laughed and danced until 2 in the morning, after consuming 3 glasses of Mojito (alcoholic). The joie de vivre of the Nigerians will have marked me during this stay, the biggest movers of the group lol!
However, for the place itself, the setting is very nice and very pleasant. A nice team available but very slow service. The food is ok, although I found the quantities quite small. But the big disappointment … The Dj! Sorry to say it like this, but the DJ was really bad, sequences and disruptions of songs in disorder. But that was the only problem of the evening. During the evening, I came across Yves, a young Cameroonian, Sales Manager in an agency of the place. I confess that I was a little surprised at this meeting.
Finally, the Rockstone’s Office is a beautiful little place for young executives in Accra who want to be in a cozy atmosphere. The place is ideal for those who want to be quiet to do a debriefing after a day of work or organizing an event. In our case, it was above all an opportunity to have a little fun before returning to our respective countries at the end of the event.
Wow, Accra looks so chic. I can’t wait to go visit some time!
